Job summary

Plains Cotton Cooperative Association seeks a Desktop Systems Specialist (Advanced) to join IT Operations in Lubbock. Hybrid role combining high-touch end-user support with backend infrastructure maintenance across a Dell-based hardware ecosystem, Veeam backups, print servers, and conference room tech.

Responsibilities include Windows upgrades, Active Directory management, network troubleshooting, and white-glove AV setup for executive and gins staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in desktop support, print server management, network or systems administration.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Proficiency with Active Directory Users & Computers and backup services (i.e. Veeam Backup and Recovery).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Hardware & Endpoint Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain Dell desktops and Latitude laptops; handle hardware repairs and warranty escalations.
• Infrastructure & Directory Services: Manage LAN/WAN connectivity and Active Directory objects; handle print server management.
• Data Protection & Recovery: Monitor backup jobs with Veeam; perform file-level and full-system restores; test backup integrity.
• Conference Room & AV Support: Provide white-glove setup and troubleshooting for AV equipment and video conferencing rooms.
• Helpdesk Support: Take calls and provide Level 2/3 support for complex configurations and issues.
