Job summary

1st MidAmerica is a trusted financial institution providing service to our members, focused on a wide range of financial products at every step of their journey. We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to maintain computer systems, handling hardware, software, and communications support for staff.

You will work at on-site locations and remotely as needed, manage user accounts in Active Directory, install hardware and software, and keep clear ticket documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of similar or related experience preferred.
• Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized certification preferred; Training or transferable skills will also be considered.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance with hardware, software, mobile devices and communication problems encountered by staff, both at onsite locations and remotely as needed.
• Monitors and makes system updates/modifications for the Credit Union's computer systems.
• Oversees the full lifecycle of user account management within Active Directory and various systems.
• Researches, modifies, tests, and installs hardware and software additions or replacements.
• Maintains company documentation standards for proper issue tracking and end user support, writes concise informative tickets, and follows up on all tickets to resolution.
