1 st MidAmerica is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hardware, software, and communication support across locations. The role includes onsite and remote assistance to maintain efficient computer systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, some experience, and strong communication. You will participate in on-call rotation and support the credit union’s IT needs with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of similar or related experience preferred.
• Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized certification preferred; Training or transferable skills will also be considered.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides hardware, software and mobile device support to staff at onsite and remote locations as needed.
• Monitors and updates computer systems.
• Oversees user account management in Active Directory and various systems.
• Researches, tests, and installs hardware and software additions or replacements.
• Maintains documentation and tracks end-user issues to resolution.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician To provide hardware, software, and communication support to maintain the efficiency of the computer systems installed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides technical assistance with hardware, software, mobile devices and communication problems encountered by staff, both at onsite locations and remotely as needed.
• Monitors and makes system updates/modifications for the Credit Union's computer systems.
• Oversees the full lifecycle of user account management within Active Directory and various systems.
• Researches, modifies, tests, and installs hardware and software additions or replacements.
• Maintains company documentation standards for proper issue tracking and end user support, writes concise informative tickets, and follows up on all tickets to resolution.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of similar or related experience preferred.
• Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized certification preferred; Training or transferable skills will also be considered.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Participate in on-call 24/7 coverage on a rotational basis.
