Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Manchester, NH. This is a 3-month contract position with the potential for extensions. The ideal candidate will provide efficient technical assistance on computer systems, ensuring smooth and efficient operation within our dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide first-level triage and support for IT-related issues.
• Installation and Setup: Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware, and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
• System Performance Monitoring: Monitor the daily performance of computer systems to ensure smooth operation.
• User Training: Provide training and support to users to help them become more proficient with their computer equipment and software.
• Security Management: Manage security options and software to protect computers and networks from attacks.
• Documentation: Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
• Vendor Interaction: Identify and report system issues to vendors and monitor and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
• Production Line Support: Set up, configure, and support computing equipment connected to the production line for manufacturing.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
• Desktop/Laptop configuration, maintenance, and support
• Triage for computer and high-level network access issues
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments.

Technical Environment:

• Hardware: Desktop and laptop computers, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Software: Operating systems (Windows, macOS), office productivity software (Microsoft Office Suite), and specialized software used in manufacturing.
• Network: Basic networking knowledge to troubleshoot connectivity issues and manage network security.
