*Job Summary:* We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Desktop Support Technician with a strong aptitude for customer service to join our team at Luther Luckett Correctional Complex. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing desktop support to the Department of Corrections (DOC) staff within the complex, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows-based environment. Additionally, the technician may assist with security cameras, servers, and network switches. This role requires interaction with DOC staff and inmates involved in work detail.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Provide desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows-based environment.
Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of security cameras, servers, and network switches.
Interact with DOC staff and inmates as necessary for work detail and other duties.
Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
Ensure compliance with DOC policies and procedures.
*Qualifications:*
Proven experience in desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices.
Familiarity with Windows-based environments.
Experience with security cameras, servers, and network switches is a plus.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with DOC staff and inmates.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
Ability to pass a DOC background check and extensive drug test prior to starting.
Availability to attend DOC training, which occurs once a month and can last up to three weeks.
*Training:*
DOC training is mandatory and teaches candidates how to work, adapt, and conduct themselves in a prison atmosphere. Training sessions are held once a month and can last up to three weeks.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
