Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a full-time IT Support Technician to install, repair, upgrade, and modify PC hardware and software across Mercyhealth locations in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The role includes analyzing software compatibility, maintaining equipment records, and providing timely technical assistance.

Travel to Mercyhealth sites is required. A2-year degree is preferred, with hardware or OS certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred in Computer Science or related field.
• Hardware or OS certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, upgrade, and modify PC equipment.
• Install PC software to meet user requirements.
• Analyze software compatibility on desktops and network.
• Provide analytical support for third-party software.
• Assist with project implementations and escalation to senior technicians.
• Provide regular reports to supervisor on progress toward objectives.
• Maintain records and inventory of computer equipment.
• Travel to Mercyhealth locations as required.

OVERVIEW:Provides technical support by installing, repairing, upgrading, and modifying PC hardware and software while analyzing application compatibility and resolving technical issues. Maintains equipment records and inventory, supports project implementations, escalates complex issues as needed, and provides timely technical assistance across multiple locations.SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 40-hours per week.SHIFT: DaysESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms installation, repair, upgrades, and modifications of PC equipment.Installs PC software programs and systems to meet user requirements.Analyze software for compatibility on desktops and network.Provide analytical support for third party software applications.Advises and provides support for project implementations.Escalation of issues within the department as needed to senior techniciansProvides supervisor with regular and succinct reports regarding the progress being made against assigned objectives.Maintains records and inventory of computer equipment.Travel to other Mercyhealth locations is requiredEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEAssociate's degree (A.
