Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Full-Time IT Help Desk Technician to install, repair, upgrade, and modify PC hardware and software, analyze compatibility, and resolve technical issues across multiple locations. You will maintain equipment records and inventory, support project implementations, escalate complex issues to senior technicians, and provide timely technical assistance in a fast-paced environment.

Travel to Mercyhealth locations is required; Associate’s degree is preferred and hardware or OS

Job description

OVERVIEW:

Provides technical support by installing, repairing, upgrading, and modifying PC hardware and software while analyzing application compatibility and resolving technical issues. Maintains equipment records and inventory, supports project implementations, escalates complex issues as needed, and provides timely technical assistance across multiple locations.

SCHEDULE:

Full-Time, 40-hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs installation, repair, upgrades, and modifications of PC equipment.
• Installs PC software programs and systems to meet user requirements.
• Analyze software for compatibility on desktops and network.
• Provide analytical support for third party software applications.
• Advises and provides support for project implementations.
• Escalation of issues within the department as needed to senior technicians
• Provides supervisor with regular and succinct reports regarding the progress being made against assigned objectives.
• Maintains records and inventory of computer equipment.
• Travel to other Mercyhealth locations is required

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) in Computer Science or related area preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Hardware or OS certification preferred

Maintain a valid driver's license

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects tasks effectively

Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience

PAY RANGE:

$24.60 - $38.14
