Allied Consultants, Inc., based in Austin, seeks an experienced Desktop Support Technician to perform imaging, hardware replacement, and data migration as part of a dedicated technical services team. The role emphasizes day-to-day support and collaboration with agency subject matter experts and project managers.

Selected candidates will undergo background checks and may be subject to drug screening in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Experience handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of personal computers, components, printers and microcomputers terms.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional environment.
• Experience providing technical assistance for applications and hardware.
• Experience installing and upgrading hardware/software and managing security controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in imaging, replacing computers and migrating data.
• Work within a team including an agency SME and a project manager.
• Provide Windows 11 technical support experience if available.
• Perform day-to-day hardware/software maintenance and upgrades.
• Document service records and maintain appropriate documentation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

To assist in the manual labor and support associated with the computer/docking station refresh project. These staff would be performing the day-to-day work of imaging, replacing the computers and migrating the data. The process by which this is performed will be provided by the agency. These staff will be part of a team which include an agency subject matter expert, and a project manager to coordinate and lead the work. Windows 11 technical support experience would be helpful but is not required.
