Job summary

Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) seeks a knowledgeable Desktop Support Technician to provide end-user support, maintain desktop and laptop systems, support Microsoft 365, and assist with cybersecurity compliance initiatives.

The role supports ~250 users across four locations, working with IT and Information Security to meet NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, and CMMC Level 2 standards while providing reliable technical assistance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of desktop-support experience in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi).
• Experience supporting users across multiple company locations.
• Strong customer-service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to users of varying knowledge levels.
• Ability to manage multiple service requests and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues.
• Install and maintain Windows 10/11 workstations.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps and services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
• Configure VPN access and MFA (DUO).
• Onboard and offboard employees, provisioning accounts and equipment.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Manage Active Directory user accounts and licenses.
