Job summary

Hydraulics International, Inc. in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide end-user support for ~250 users across four locations within a single Active Directory.

You will support Microsoft 365, AD, Exchange Online, Intune, and security initiatives aligned with NIST SP 800-171/DFARS/CMMC Level 2. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; onboard/offboard employees; manage accounts and licenses; and help maintain cybersecurity and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Three to five years of desktop-support experience within a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
• Experience supporting users across multiple company locations.
• Strong customer-service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple service requests and priorities in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows 10 and Windows 11 workstations.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPN access, DUO MFA, and remote-access technologies.
• Perform employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning, access changes, and equipment deployment or collection.
• Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory.
• Manage security groups, distribution groups, and Microsoft 365 licenses.
• Support password resets, account lockouts, and MFA enrollment.
• Assist with Exchange Online mailbox administration.
• Support Microsoft Intune and endpoint-management initiatives.
