Job summary

Networking Technologies + Support in Richmond, VA is seeking an IT Support Technician to respond to end-user requests, resolve hardware and software issues, and maintain computer inventory.

You will handle desktop and server software installs, basic networking and printing problems, and provide excellent customer service while working 8am-5pm Monday to Friday; pay is $18-$21 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting Windows 10/11 desktops/laptops.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on desktops/laptops.
• Experience installing software, patches, updates on desktops, laptops, servers.
• Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone or tickets.
• Educate end-users on resolving hardware/software problems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Track and route problems and document resolutions.
• Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
• Setup new user hardware/software.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory.
• Clone computers using imaging software; maintain clone images.
• Provide technical assistance for printers and scanners.
• Provide technical assistance for network, VPN, web portal and wireless issues.
• Escalate incidents to IT Network Administrators, Business Analysts or Developers when appropriate.
