Job summary

Eagle County Government is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver hands-on and remote IT support across 12 offices in the Eagle River and Roaring Fork Valleys. The role offers growth through tiered responsibilities, with training funded by the county and a focus on security, endpoint management, and user lifecycle you will manage.

Responsibilities include OS deployment, AD provisioning, scripting, and documenting processes while working in a hybrid environment with on-site and remote

Qualifications

• Driver's license required and travel across county facilities.
• Willingness to obtain Google IT Support Professional Certificate or Microsoft Certified Endpoint Administrator Associate within 6 months (training paid).
• Experience with endpoint management tools and AD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user and endpoint support via in-person, phone, chat, and remote channels.
• Manage user accounts, security groups, and access controls.
• Rebuild OS images, push configurations, and deploy workstation setups.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to security incidents.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and scripts; manage software packaging.
• Maintain hardware inventories and write end-user guides.
• Support Emergency Operations Center during emergencies.
