Job summary

TEKsystems in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for onsite deskside support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting of desktop hardware, software, networking, and mobile devices, with strong customer service.

You will support Windows, Outlook, and business applications, manage tickets in ServiceNow, deploy workstations, and escalate complex issues while maintaining ownership through resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Desktop/Deskside or End User Support experience.
• Strong experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.
• Hardware troubleshooting and break/fix knowledge.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and command‑line tools.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside and remote end-user support.
• Troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware, software, and OS issues.
• Support Windows environments and business applications.
• Resolve Outlook, email, and user profile issues.
• Troubleshoot printers, peripherals, and connectivity problems.
• Support mobile devices and related technologies.
• Use ticketing systems to document, track, and resolve incidents.
• Perform workstation deployments, upgrades, and hardware replacements.
• Escalate complex issues while owning resolution.
