Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst for an onsite, 06+ months contract in Santa Clara, CA. You will provide complex technical support for desktop, software, and hardware, and coordinate work orders within the desktop environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in desktop support, Linux experience, and solid Windows troubleshooting skills, plus scripting ability. Benefits include health insurance and paid leave.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of desktop support experience.
• Linux environment experience (1 year) required.
• Strong Windows desktop OS expertise and troubleshooting.
• Scripting experience with Shell/Bash or Perl.
• GxP/validated systems knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex technical support for desktop, software, and hardware installation, including remote access technologies.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues with desktop computers, operating systems, and application software.
• Collaborate with user groups and IT partners to address technical issues and implement solutions.
• Manage the lifecycle of desktop technology, including procurement, refresh, and disposition processes.
• Coordinate technical work orders for installations, moves, adds, and changes within the desktop environment.
• Document hardware/software changes and maintain inventory records.
• Troubleshoot and analyze PC hardware, operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Linux), and office automation software.
• Engage in audio/video setup and troubleshooting, along with printer maintenance.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Desktop Support Analyst. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Santa Clara, CA(Onsite).

Pay Range: $24 - $26/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide complex technical support for desktop, software, and hardware installation, including remote access technologies.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues with desktop computers, operating systems, and application software.
• Collaborate with user groups and IT partners to address technical issues and implement solutions.
• Manage the lifecycle of desktop technology, including procurement, refresh, and disposition processes.
• Coordinate technical work orders for installations, moves, adds, and changes within the desktop environment.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Nice to have: College degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Windows Domain and Azure.
• 5+ years of experience in desktop support, with at least 1 year in a Linux environment (Ubuntu preferred).
• Strong expertise in Windows desktop operating systems and advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with Shell/Bash or Perl scripting.
• Knowledge of GxP/validated systems is highly preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of LAN environments and communication protocols.
• Creativity and advanced problem-solving skills.
