Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking a Microcomputer Specialist to install and maintain computer hardware and software, provide user support, and troubleshoot connectivity issues across the organization. You will handle imaging, configuration, and testing of workstations and assist with deployments and upgrades.

Required are an associate degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience, with a focus on hardware, software, and networking.

Qualifications

Associates degree in a technology-related field plus one year IT experience preferred, or a high school diploma/GED plus three years related experience and training.
Experience must include hardware/peripheral installation, software installation, problem diagnosis, and exposure to networking.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, MS Office Specialist, Google IT, CCST, or similar are preferred.

Responsibilities

Installs, configures, upgrades, and maintains operating systems and software applications.
Provides desktop support and technical assistance to system users in person or remotely.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots hardware, software, and network problems and documents resolutions.
Sets up and deploys new computers and peripherals and assists with deployment/relocation of equipment.
