Job summary

Boise Co-Op in Meridian, ID is seeking an IT Technician to install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, Wi‑Fi systems, and core infrastructure to support store operations. You will set up new employee accounts and devices, monitor performance, perform backups, assist with system upgrades, and provide user training and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of VLANs, ACLs, and network protocols.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Server environments and virtualization.
• Working knowledge of phone systems, call routing, and software/network security.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, Wi‑Fi systems, and core infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve computer, network, and hardware issues, providing timely support to employees across departments.
• Set up new employee accounts, logins, devices, and email credentials.
• Monitor and evaluate network performance, identifying areas for stability, speed, and security improvements.
• Schedule, test, and participate in system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to staff workflows.
• Provide ongoing IT training, support, documentation, and user guidance to employees.
• Assess compatibility and performance of new technologies, making recommendations for improvements.
• Maintain system functionality through regular testing, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform regular data backups to protect company information and support business continuity.
• Support the IT Manager by staying current on industry trends and contributing to technology planning.
