Job summary

CTG is seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician for a contract engagement in Hickory, NC. The role provides onsite support with potential remote assistance as needed, handling desktop, hardware, software, and end-user issues.

The candidate will administer Active Directory, support Office 365, troubleshoot VPN and connectivity, and participate in imaging/deployment tasks while working within IT service processes. Excellent communication and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Strong desktop support and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, and support.
• Familiarity with Active Directory administration.
• Experience with device imaging and deployment servers.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and cloud applications.
• Basic Smart Hands and network infrastructure knowledge.
• Strong time management, organization, and task prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop, hardware, software, and end-user technical support.
• Administer Active Directory and support Microsoft Office 365 and cloud apps.
• Troubleshoot Cisco VPN, browser, printer, and endpoint connectivity issues.
• Install and configure Adobe products, Check Point endpoint software, and standard IT applications.
• Support corporate mobile devices, Mac hardware/software, and IP-based telephony systems.
• Utilize ServiceNow for incident and service request management.
• Perform standard device imaging and deployment using USB/PXE and deployment servers.
