Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) is seeking a User Support Analyst to maintain desktops, install new hardware, and coordinate IT operations. The role requires collaboration with divisions, external vendors, and internal IT teams to resolve issues and maintain secure systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field plus one year of experience in IT.
• Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field with two years of IT experience.
• High school/GED with four years of technology experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Keep desktops up to date with encryption, antivirus, and firmware upgrades.
• Set up and install new computers per division guidelines.
• Use ITSM to monitor, document work, and communicate with other resources.
• Assist day-to-day IT operations, including asset management and inventory controls.
• Communicate with Tier II/III personnel, peers, and vendor support.
• Monitor requests to ensure timely completion and secure environments.
• Participate in IT projects and coordinate with affected divisions.
