Job summary

Alexander Technology Group in Lowell, MA is seeking a skilled Desktop Technician for a 2–3 month contract to support a large deployment. The role combines hands-on desktop imaging and setup with Tier 1–2 help-desk troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include imaging, configuring, and deploying desktops, laptops, and peripherals, plus end-user support, remote help, and documentation of issues and resolutions. Local candidates who can pass a background check are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale deployment/imaging projects.
• Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop/help-desk support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop hardware and peripherals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Image, deploy, configure, and install desktops, laptops and peripherals across multiple locations.
• Perform workstation refreshes, hardware replacements and user setup.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer and connectivity issues.
• Document support requests and resolutions.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting users in person and remotely.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
