Job summary

EMERGE in Columbia, SC is seeking a Desktop Analyst to execute and maintain best practices for desktop, laptop, and VDI management. You will handle software packaging, deployment, patching, inventory, license auditing, and documentation to support all firm operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a large organization, deep Windows expertise (SCCM, Intune, PowerShell, AD, GPO), and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical expertise in Windows environments using SCCM, Intune, PowerShell, AD and GPO.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft patching and SCCM.

Job description

This role requires executing and maintaining best practices for desktop, laptop, and VDI management, such as software packaging, deployment, patching, inventory management, compliance reporting, license auditing, technical documentation, image creation, and workstation management. Additionally, installing, testing, configuring, implementing, and documenting software applications supporting all firm operations is part of the role.

Qualifications

This role requires a Desktop Analyst with over 3 years of experience in a large organization. Essential skills include strong communication, attention to detail, independent work under strict guidelines, and adept prioritization. Advanced technical expertise in Microsoft Windows environments using tools like SCCM, Intune, PowerShell, Active Directory, and Group Policy are a must.

Advanced troubleshooting experience with Windows 10/11, along with PowerShell skills, is necessary. Experience working within a large organization with multiple deployments is also required.

Experience

• Looking for a highly technical, hands-on candidate who enjoys troubleshooting, working with servers, and building computers from scratch
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience
• Strong Windows 11 experience
• Must be able to write PowerShell scripts, not just execute existing scripts
• Experience with Microsoft patching
• SCCM experience
• This is not a security-focused position
