Job summary

Loyola Blakefield in Towson, MD is seeking a Desktop Administrator to join the Technology department. You will support Faculty, Staff, and Students, install and configure devices, and ensure classroom technology runs smoothly.

The role involves troubleshooting Windows 11, coordinating with Help Desk, training users, and helping with upgrades. The position is full-time, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid leave, and tuition discount.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent software industry experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 11.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware/software on Surface and mobile devices.
• Experience with Microsoft MDT and Intune platforms.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office 365 management.
• Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, and printing problems.
• Customer service experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assists Faculty, Staff, and Students with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of Microsoft Surfaces, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines.
• Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with computing equipment and software.
• Works with Help Desk and Network Staff to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
• Interacts with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment; ensures devices interconnect with cloud and conferencing systems.
• Trains and orients faculty/staff on use of hardware and software.
• Recommends and/or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.
• Maintains classroom technology systems including projection systems, Crestron and AMX conferencing systems.

Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and Windows operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The position works with our end users and with other Technology Department Staff. The employee in this position also assists in configuration and support of the campus telephone and voice mail systems.
