Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or Elementary Education.
• 3+ years of experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students in design thinking, problem-based learning, engineering design, STEM/STEAM, robotics, computer science or technology.
• Ability to bring innovative approaches to identifying and solving problems.
• Experience exploring and piloting new technologies.
• Creative and energetic teaching strategies with strong classroom management.
• Willingness to develop knowledge through professional development.

Responsibilities

• Teach developmentally appropriate middle school curriculum for grades 6–8 focused on computational thinking, coding, robotics, digital fabrication, and digital citizenship.
• Supervise and support the Vex Robotics Team during Elective period.
• Update Canvas course pages, grades, and end-of-trimester comments.
• Possibly serve as 6th-grade advisor and perform other duties (lunch, recess, study hall).
• Foster skills in personal productivity, creativity, critical thinking, coding, collaboration, and MakerSpace use.
