Job summary

Figma seeks an Engineering Manager for Design Systems Adherence to lead a focused team ensuring that outputs align with customer design systems across design and code. You'll shape the context, guidelines, and data-driven evaluation used by our Agents to improve design quality and reduce drift.

You'll partner with Product, Design, and AI Research teams to drive impact, establish high-quality engineering practices, and deliver actionable insights for customers and internal tools.

Qualifications

• Experience leading high-impact engineering teams.
• Hands-on depth in building AI assistants and evaluation systems.
• Fluency with modern AI development and evaluation workflows.
• Strong foundation in software engineering and platform mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a 6-8 engineer team responsible for Design Systems Adherence across our workflows.
• Coach and develop engineers through career growth, feedback, and technical leadership.
• Own and evolve design system context and guidance for AI usefulness and accuracy.
• Set technical strategy for adherence measurement with datasets, rubrics, evaluators, and regression checks.
• Build benchmarking tools and dashboards to track design system adherence, quality, latency, and cost.
• Partner with Product, Design, and AI Research teams to drive business impact.
