Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Supervisor in New York to lead and develop the design team while driving in-store sales through design services. You will mentor designers, manage performance, and ensure exceptional customer experiences across residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, scheduling design appointments, providing expert tile, wood, stone and accessories advice, managing multiple projects end-to-end, and collaborating with store leadership to

Qualifications

Design education or equivalent experience required.
6 years interior design experience in lieu of education.
3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and basic math.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain lasting relationships with residential and professional customers.
Hire and develop a design team and conduct performance evaluations.
Greet customers and support design walk-in needs.
Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and leads.
Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for projects.
Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
Manage multiple projects with accurate, timely communication and documentation.
Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
