Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. in Phoenix seeks a Design Supervisor to lead the design team, drive sales through design services, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.

You will hire and mentor the design staff, manage appointment scheduling, advise on tile, wood and stone selections, collaborate with store leadership, and stay current with trends and design tools such as Salesforce and MyProject.

Qualifications

• Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years interior design experience.
• 3–5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a dynamic design team, including performance evaluations.
• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Maintain master store design appointment calendar and schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership and employees to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Engage in current and emerging design trends and utilize design applications.
