Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work.
• Fundamental scheduling skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving.
• Ability to build rapport with project staff.
• Experience with IT tools for planning and scheduling.
• Understanding of Earned Value and project controls methods.
• Promotes safety and adheres to IPS safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Holds primary responsibility for achievement of scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives on assigned projects.
• Ensures achievement of corporate goals for assigned projects.
• Attends pre-bid meetings with clients and prepares proposals in conjunction with department heads and directors.
• Assist in design budget development.
• Manage client interaction on assigned projects and promote positive relationships.
• Identify risks to the project and mitigate with Project Executives and Director of Operations.
• Manage project scope and communicate change notices to the client.
• Coordinate with project discipline leads to determine scope, complexity, and planning requirements.
• Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan.
• Prepare internal monthly financial/schedule reports for Director of Operations.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Client.
• Enhance and facilitate project team communication.
• Develop and maintain meeting minutes and action items.
• Manage all sub-consultants on the project.
• Run multiple simultaneous small projects.
• Identify and develop innovative methods for improving project management processes.
