Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a Construction Project Engineer I to join our team near Burlington, Massachusetts. You will support Project Managers and Project Directors with technical, administrative, and subcontractor management tasks on life sciences facilities projects.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, budget control, document management, procurement support, safety, QA, and cost tracking. Domestic travel up to 25% may be required as projects dictate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in Engineering, Project Delivery, or related discipline.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required by projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and maintenance of execution plans, scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, and communication among project stakeholders.
• Support procurement, contract administration, and change management processes.
• Participate in safety planning and quality assurance, including shop drawing reviews and design compliance.
• Track project costs, invoice preparation, and reporting.
• Maintain project documentation systems and assist with closeout deliverables and turnover packages.
• Contribute to marketing materials, proposals, and ongoing team coordination across departments.
