Job summary

IPS is seeking a Design Project Manager for our Burlington, Massachusetts office. The role provides leadership on engineering projects, coordinating client interactions, and guiding manpower and resource loading to meet financial, schedule, and client objectives.

You will collaborate with project executives, discipline leads, and the director of operations to mitigate risks, manage scope changes, and continuously improve project management processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in project management.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or planning.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Holds primary responsibility for scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives on assigned projects.
• Attends pre-bid meetings and helps prepare proposals with department heads.
• Develops and maintains the Project Execution Plan.
• Prepares monthly financial/schedule reports for management and clients.
• Manages client interaction and maintains positive relationships.
• Identifies risks and works with leadership to mitigate them.
• Coordinates with discipline leads to determine scope and scheduling requirements.
• Manages sub-consultants and multiple small projects.
