Job summary

Southland Industries in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a design-build/preconstruction engineer to manage the design and detailing schedule, monitor development, and oversee the design contract finances to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

You will coordinate with engineering, detailing, VDC teams, and project stakeholders; develop schedules; review contracts; perform field surveys and manage RFIs and submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction science or equivalent
• 3+ years of practical engineering or construction management experience
• Active EIT certification preferred
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and writing skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team under deadlines
• Proficiency with MS Office and Revit

Responsibilities

• Manage design-build/design-assist project schedules and progress
• Coordinate with engineering, detailing, VDC teams and project members
• Assist in contract review and cost impact studies
• Create RFIs and submittals for detailing
• Perform on-site field surveys and manage data in tracking systems
