Southland Industries is seeking a driven preconstruction professional to lead design-build and design-assist efforts in collaboration with the project team. You will manage design development, detailing progress, and the related financial aspects to ensure high-quality delivery within time and cost constraints.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, detailing, and VDC teams, reviewing contracts, and supporting efficient planning while maintaining strong communication with all

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Science or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• 3+ years of practical engineering or construction management experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent analytical and technical writing skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preconstruction process of design-build and design-assist projects.
• Manages project design and detailing schedule, monitors design development and detailing progress, and manages the financial aspects of the design contract.
• Develops and manages design schedules; interfaces with engineers, detailers, VDC teams, and project stakeholders.
• Assists in contract review for customer and subconsultant agreements.
• Provides design coordination with engineering, detailing, and VDC teams to optimize methods and solutions.
