Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a Design Project Engineer I for our team in the United States (CA Emeryville and other office locations). You will lead multidisciplinary design activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards and quality objectives across the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong engineering experience, collaboration with architects, BIM teams and vendors, and travel up to 20% to client sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive engineering experience in technical project roles.
• Experience in AEC, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences industries preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and coordination for multidisciplinary design projects.
• Ensure design compliance with safety, quality, client design guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Lead and facilitate design coordination and review meetings.
• Coordinate efforts of architects, engineers, design assist contractors, BIM teams, contractors and vendors to meet contractual obligations.
• Support change management by identifying design changes and preparing design change notices.
