HBK Engineering, LLC, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Design Lead in Chicago area to drive CAD design work on utility projects. You will lead design tasks, coordinate with engineers, and ensure compliance with standards using AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating with clients and permitting agencies, and contributing to project delivery with strong communication and technical skills.

Competenze

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in utility design, CAD drafting, and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, and Office365 suite.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop design packages for civil, electrical, and structural projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation for utility infrastructure design.
• Review utility records and basemaps to support project development.
• Maintain CAD standards and project documentation.
• Provide CAD leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and permitting bodies to meet requirements.
