Job summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking Summer Design Interns across Home categories to join our team for the Summer season in Philadelphia. The internship runs 6/7–8/13 at our Home Office, offering hands-on experience from concept to final sample, with opportunities to contribute to trend research, sketching, sourcing, and presentation building.

Interns will work with experienced designers and cross-functional partners, gaining exposure to the creative process and potential to interview for a full-time

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Furniture Design or related field.
• Strong interest in fashion, youth culture, and the Urban Outfitters aesthetic.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Experience with CLO 3D or similar software is a plus.
• Excellent sketching and visual communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concept presentations.
• Support design team with sketching, CADs, and technical packages.
• Source fabrics, trims, and inspiration materials for upcoming collections.
• Organize sample libraries, swatch books, and design archives.
• Participate in fittings, design reviews, and cross‑functional meetings.
• Conduct trend and market research to support design direction.
• Prepare line sheets, spec sheets, and internal presentation materials.
