Job summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking Summer 2027 Design Interns across Home to assist in concept-to-sample development and seasonal collections. You'll support trend research, sketching, sourcing, and presentation building in a fast-paced design atmosphere at our Philadelphia home office.

Interns will work with experienced designers, participate in fittings, and gain hands-on product development experience across Home categories, with mentorship and potential opportunities for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Furniture Design or a related field.
• Strong interest in fashion, youth culture, and the Urban Outfitters aesthetic.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); CLO 3D or similar software is a plus.
• Excellent sketching and visual communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn in a creative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concept presentations.
• Support the design team with sketching, CADs, and technical packages.
• Help source fabrics, trims, and inspiration materials for upcoming collections.
• Organize and maintain sample libraries, swatch books, and design archives.
• Participate in fittings, design reviews, and cross-functional meetings with buying and production teams.
• Conduct trend and market research to support design direction and innovation.
• Assist in preparing line sheets, spec sheets, and internal presentation materials.
