Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking a Design Coordinator to support Designers, manage appointments, and drive a differentiated customer experience across store, e-commerce, and catalog channels.

You will assist customers on the floor, help with in-home and in-store consultations, and contribute to organizing design-related events and materials while maintaining high standards of service and knowledge of product offerings.

Qualifications

• Understanding basic design functions: spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, interior design styles.
• Excellent, effective, timely communication skills and the ability to translate the brand vision and customer wants/needs.
• Ability to stay up to date on market trends and act as an agent of change as the business evolves.
• Proven track record of building long-lasting relationships with customers.
• Interpersonal skills; team player.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and a differentiated experience by assisting customers and Designers with managing appointments and Design Desk projects.
• Own the organization and replenishment of sales aids.
• Conduct post-purchase customer outreach.
• Support Designers and Leaders by managing pipeline activities and in-store events.
• Assist customers on the floor and pass them off to Designers as appropriate.
• Ensure understanding of brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel: store, e-commerce, and catalog.
• Stay informed on product information, care instructions, and industry trends.
• Deliver sales, KPIs, service goals, and productivity standards; engage customers on the sales floor.
• Listen to customers to identify products meeting their needs and communicate loyalty services.
• Assist Designers with in-home and in-store consultations.
• Model excellent service with a positive attitude and efficiency for all customers.
• Support store training on design services to drive understanding of offerings.
• Support large-scale projects as assigned.
