Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp. seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer II for on-site development of new products, ensuring performance, cost, and quality targets. You will create clear technical documentation referenced by design, manufacturing, and quality teams.

You will support existing products through cost reductions, failures analyses, and derivatives, approving drawings for simple to medium components and processes while collaborating with engineering managers and project teams. Travel is required 5–10%.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
• 3 years' required experience
• Ability to perform design calculations
• SolidWorks and PDM experience desirable
• Understanding of design requirements, part function and manufacturing principles
• Ability to facilitate a technical discussion with internal and external customers
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems

Responsibilities

• Develop new products that meet performance, cost, and quality requirements
• Provide drawing and documentation approval for simple to medium complexity components and processes
• Support cost reduction, failure analysis, and derivatives for existing products
• Drive MRB dispositioning and use CAD tools to optimize designs
• Travel 5–10% as needed to support projects
