Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC mechanical design or Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC).
• Understanding of commercial HVAC systems, controls integration, and equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, control schematics, and construction documents.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio or related design software preferred.
• Familiarity with BAS platforms, controls sequences, and system networking is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC mechanical systems and/or BAS/DDC control systems for commercial/industrial facilities.
• Create control drawings, submittals, sequences of operation, system architecture layouts, and design documentation.
• Support BAS/DDC system design including controllers, field devices, networking, and integration strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, field technicians, contractors, engineers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project specifications, mechanical plans, and control requirements.
• Assist with equipment selection, controls integration, and energy-efficient system strategies.
• Support commissioning efforts and technical troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Design Engineer to support the design and development of building automation and mechanical system solutions for commercial and industrial projects.
