Job summary

Ernesta in Birmingham, MI, is seeking a Retail Trade Account Executive to grow its local trade business by partnering with interior designers, architects, and design firms. This role reports to the Showroom Leader and combines relationship-building with strategic outreach to generate active projects and recurring revenue.

You will spend 20–30% of your time in the field, host showroom events, and collaborate with design assistants to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in interior design, home furnishings, or design sales.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated with ability to create new business.
• Commercially minded with drive to hit sales goals.
• Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow Ernesta’s local trade business with designers and firms.
• Own a portfolio of trade accounts and drive repeat projects and revenue.
• Prospect and acquire new trade accounts through outreach and networking.
• Host showroom events and collaborate with showroom team on projects.
