Job summary

Ernesta seeks an experienced Retail Trade Account Executive to expand our trade business within the local design community. You will nurture relationships with interior designers, architects, and other trade partners, becoming a trusted resource for their projects and helping them integrate Ernesta into their work.

You will grow existing accounts and develop new ones, spending 20-30% of your month in the trade community through showroom visits, events, and networking.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of interior design, home furnishings, architecture and design sales experience.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships and trust with clients or accounts.
• Passion for interior design, home décor, architecture, and the design community.
• Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with focus on growing a book of business.
• Highly organized with strong time management and disciplined follow-through.
• Comfortable prospecting and initiating new relationships with new contacts.
• Willingness to travel locally for trade meetings, office visits, and events.
• Flexible retail schedule including evenings, weekends, or events.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow Ernesta’s local trade business by developing long-term relationships with interior designers, architects, and other trade partners.
• Own a portfolio of trade accounts and drive repeat projects, retention, and revenue growth.
• Identify, prospect, and acquire new trade accounts through outreach, referrals, networking, and events.
• Activate new trade accounts by understanding their business and introducing Ernesta’s products and services.
