Job summary

MillerKnoll's Design Within Reach stores in Santa Monica seek a store leader to drive retail operations, design-led customer service, and team development. You will report to the Regional Manager and guide the store toward ambitious sales and memorable customer experiences.

You’ll coach staff on floor plans, product storytelling, and daily routines, while managing budgets, scheduling, and performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated design skills and a passion for the design profession.
• Financial literacy, business acumen, and ability to manage budgetary responsibilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.
• Able to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds and to understand safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and coach a team through goal setting, recognition, and training.
• Manage full-life cycle of talent acquisition, including partnering with HR for performance matters.
• Ensure store procedures are followed to represent the best in design and to maximize profit.
• Lead team on floorplans, design presentations, weekly trade, and home visits.
• Build positive working relations with the store team and share insights with the Regional Manager.
