Design Within Reach, a MillerKnoll brand, is seeking a store General Manager to lead a high‑performing retail team in Palm Springs. You will oversee talent, operations, and customer experience, driving sales and visual standards across the floor and back‑office processes.

You will report to the Regional Manager and build strong relationships with designers, customers, and suppliers, while managing budgets and coaching staff to achieve company goals.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated design skills and a passion for the design profession.
• Financial literacy, business acumen, and ability to manage budgetary responsibilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.
• Able to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds and to understand safety requirements.

Responsabilités

• Build trusting relationships by developing, leading, and motivating a team through goal setting and providing consistent recognition, coaching, feedback, and training.
• Manage the full-life cycle of talent acquisition, including partnering with Human Resources for performance management related situations.
• Ensure the store procedures are followed to represent the best in design by utilizing visual directives, presentation, and general housekeeping standards to maximize profit and manage expense control goals.
• Lead team on creating floorplans, design presentations, weekly trade, and home visits.
• Build positive working relationships with the store team, work with the Regional Manager and share business insights, best practices, and develop strategies to grow the business.
