Herman Miller in El Segundo is seeking a Sales & Design Specialist to guide clients through a personalized journey that blends design sensibility with consultative selling. You will help create spaces that support wellness and productivity, reporting to store leadership and driving store success.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, design collaboration with A&D partners, and delivering a premium in-store experience. Weekend/extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, interior design, or client-facing design consultation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/rendering tools
• Ability to lift/move items over 40 lbs and adhere to safety protocols
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Inspire and educate clients through in-store demonstrations and personalized consultations
• Design tailored solutions that align with clients’ needs, preferences, and wellness goals
• Drive sales by building strong client relationships and proactively following up on leads
• Collaborate with the A&D (Architecture & Design) community to grow brand awareness and partnerships
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure a premium store experience
• Process transactions and manage orders with accuracy and efficiency
