Job summary

Entergy New Orleans is seeking a Distribution Engineering Design Coordinator to plan, schedule, and manage customer-requested work, line maintenance, capital projects and day-to-day design activities for the Distribution Engineering Design team.

The role involves coordinating with external customers, leveraging design resources, and ensuring timely service delivery. Strong communication, organizational skills, and Maximo experience are essential to succeed in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years Entergy Transmission or Distribution experience.
• 1 year of Maximo & CCS experience.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience with scheduling resources or maintenance and construction practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and database applications.

Responsibilities

• Contact external customers within one working day and schedule an appointment if required.
• Collect design information while speaking with the customer.
• Interpret and apply organizational policies related to customer requests.
• Provide customers with information on tasks they must complete to receive service on the requested date.
• Manage design resources within geographic areas and assign Designers accordingly.
• Monitor Designers' calendars for efficient scheduling.
• Communicate with Designers and Network Line groups to expedite work.
• Identify root causes of customer complaints and inquiries.
• Support AM/FM-DFM and Maximo in construction applications.
• Review and update Maximo backlogs for the Distribution Engineering Dept.
• Identify deficiencies, analyze options, and recommend solutions.
• Serve on the Storm Response Team for restoration efforts.
• Support Damage Assessment and Logistics functions.
