MillerKnoll in Rochester, NY is seeking a Design Specialist who blends design sensibility with consultative selling. You will deliver personalized design consultations, build lasting relationships with clients, and drive store performance in a fast-paced team environment.

You report to the General Manager and play a key role in showcasing iconic modern design while collaborating with the local design community. This role requires weekend availability and a strong customer-service orientation.

Qualifications

• Design-savvy professional with a passion for modern interiors.
• Experience in retail design consulting or customer success.
• Background in interior design or a related field.
• Proficient with client needs assessment and relationship building.
• Familiar with design tools such as SketchUp or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized design consultations to meet client needs and drive sales.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, trade professionals, and the local community.
• Meet and exceed sales performance goals, KPIs, revenue targets, and client retention.
• Guide clients through product selection, space planning, and styling with expertise.
• Manage the full client lifecycle using CRM tools and outreach strategies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and contribute to store aesthetics.
• Stay current on product knowledge and design trends through training and self-study.
