Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Designer to deliver seamless, consultative design services in-store, helping customers translate their style and budget into complete flooring projects. You will greet clients, schedule appointments, and provide expert guidance on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for both residential and commercial spaces.

The role requires interpersonal communication, a design background, and proficiency with design tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
• Degree in Design is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with clear communication and use of company tools
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation and meet sales goals
• Stay updated on current design trends in the market
• Utilize design applications like Salesforce and MyProject
