Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Sales Designer to greet customers, design spaces, and drive sales for residential and commercial projects. You’ll develop clientele, provide guidance on tile, wood, stone, and accessories, and manage projects from inquiry to installation.

The role requires 1 year of design or retail/sales experience, a design degree is a plus, and strong communication, math, and computer skills. Expect a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via referrals and leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices with staff.
• Engage in current design trends in the market.
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and scheduling tools.
