Job summary

CB2 in Berkeley seeks a Designer to help customers plan and design their spaces, delivering elevated CB2 experiences that drive sales growth and profitability. You will leverage design tools and creative selling to maximize the customer journey across store, online, and catalog channels.

You will lead one-on-one design consultations in person or via email, create moodboards and 2D floor plans, assemble product lists, and stay aligned with CB2 brand aesthetics and merchandising strategies.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic design functions including spatial planning, fabric selection, lighting, interior design styles
• Excellent, effective, and timely communication skills and the ability to translate the brand vision of CB2 and the customers wants/needs
• Strong affinity for technology (2D and 3D tools, Google suite, video conferencing) and proficient in floor planning
• Experience working one on one with clients and recommending solutions

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and a differentiated experience by providing enriching customer interactions and elevated design offerings in-store and virtually
• Create elevated CB2 designs for customers using design tools to create moodboards, 2D floor plans, product lists and style inspiration
• Lead One on One Design consultations in person or via email, phone, and virtual design consults and deliver projects on time
• Deliver on CB2 brand aesthetics and merchandising strategy by channel
• Engage customers on the sales floor by demonstrating the four steps of selling and meeting KPI goals
• Stay informed with marketplace and industry trends
• Listen to customers to identify products meeting needs and communicate loyalty services when applicable
• Model excellent service with a positive attitude in-store, virtually, and in-home when needed
