Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. in Memphis seeks a Design/Build Manager who can drive project performance from day one, coordinating estimating, scheduling, design review, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation with owners and the design team.

You will lead buyout and subcontractor selection, conduct regular site meetings, ensure accuracy of estimates, manage multiple activities, and continually improve processes while upholding our integrity, values and commitment to client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 3–10 years of construction management on commercial projects.
• Ability to make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes and improvements.
• Act with integrity, supporting company values and customer expectations.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety and proposal preparation.
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Work with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review scope, reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee buyout process and subcontractor selection.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site.
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize, plan and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating processes and implementing improvements.
• Act with integrity, supporting the company and meeting customer requirements.
