Job summary

Axis Energy Administration LLC is seeking a Derrick Hand to join a 4-5 person workover rig crew in Odessa, TX. The role involves elevated work on the derrick, routine maintenance of derrick structures, and supporting other rig functions under the Tool Pusher or Rig Operator.

Essential duties include rigging up/down, bolstering the tubing board, and handling rods and tubing from vertical racks. You will work 12-hour shifts on a 14/7 rotation, travel up to 75%, and must pass pre-employment

Qualifications

• Experience as a Derrick hand on workover rigs or similar rigging operations.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR; CDL Class A or B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator in rigging up/down and aligning with the well.
• Perform elevated work on the derrick and tubing board/rod basket.
• Move and handle tubing/rods from racks to elevator and around the floor.
• Set hydraulic jacks and attach guy wires as needed for rig operations.
• Monitor and report safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervision.
• Work in outdoor field environments and adhere to PPE and safety requirements.
