Job summary

Axis is seeking a Derrick Hand to join a 4-5 person workover rig crew in Hull, TX. You will perform elevated work on the derrick, assist in tubing and rod handling, and maintain rig components.

This role requires 1+ year Derrick hand and 2+ years workover flooring experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 14/7 rotation.

Candidates must pass pre-employment screening and comply with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Derrick hand experience.
• At least 2 years of workover rig floor experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator in rigging up and down and lining up the well service rig.
• Perform all elevated work related to rigging up/down.
• Maintain derrick structures and components.
• Assist in handling tubing and rod basket operations.
• Follow safety programs and report hazards.
• Drive crew truck when required (valid state license).
